All castings are heat tempered and stress relieved during manufacturing process to assure stability of the machine structure and resist deflection under load. Saddle operates on hydrostatic, precisely hand scraped, and Turcite coated double vee slideways by a precision ballscrew and AC inverter, and allows criss-cross grinding for better surface finish.
